Jane Jin

Cleantech Lead, Oxford University Innovation

Started at Sagentia Innovation, Jane helped global consumer and industrial companies such as P&G to identify and evaluate market opportunities of new technologies and products. Jane joined Oxford University Innovation in 2016, focusing on commercialising Oxford University’s research outcomes through IP licensing and creating spin-out ventures. Jane has led the spinning out of five companies including OxSed, OxCCU Tech and Fluorok.

Jane is passionate about climatetech, leading a new initiative at Oxford since 2020 including launching the Oxford Climate Tech and Sustainability Innovation Challenge 2021, a call to engage Oxford researchers with local innovation eco-system to tackle climate crisis together.  In addition, Jane is leading the technology transfer activities for Oxford Suzhou Center for Advanced Research– Oxford University’s first overseas centre for research in physical and engineering sciences. helping the local team to set up the IP management system and commercialisation practice from the beginning.

Jane completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2010, and hold a first class MChem Medicinal Chemistry degree from Leeds University.
